Report an IT Request or Issue

There are several options for submitting an IT request or reporting an IT issue.

Submit your own request or issue

Information Services uses a specialized incident tracking system named FAMIS to keep track of technology-related client requests and issues (i.e., tickets). As a member of the DePauw community, you have the ability to submit new tickets and review existing tickets.

You can send us an email with a detailed description of your request/issue; however, the IS Technology Request link found in e-Services is designed to make reporting an IT request or issue easier and quicker.

If you decide to email us at HelpDesk@depauw.edu, please provide answers to the following common questions as this will help us troubleshoot your request quicker:

  • What is your operating system…Windows or Mac?
  • What is the program and version?
  • Have you tried rebooting your computer?
  • If there is an error message, what does it say? Please attach a screenshot to your email if possible.
  • How often and when does it happen…is it intermittent or does it happen all the time…are you the only one this is happening to or are others in your area also experiencing the issue?
