Where do I reserve a room for an event?

Go to e-Services, a.k.a. my.depauw.edu, to reserve a room for your event, and then add the location to your event in Campus Labs Engage so people know where to go for it.

Am I required to use Campus Labs Engage for events that are only for faculty and staff invitees?

You are not required to use Engage for faculty and staff events unless you want to publicize your event.

Where do I go to sign in to Gold Connect?

Go to goldconnect.depauw.edu and use your DePauw Account username and password to sign in.

Who sees my group memberships?

Your membership is displayed by default, thus enabling you to decide whether or not your name is displayed to the public.

Is there an approval process for event requests?

Only events scheduled through a student organization go through an approval process.

How do I find out the reason why my event request was denied?

If the Event Reviewer denies the event request, (s)he can send a message to the submitter of the event with the information that needs changed before the event is resubmitted.

The link I posted in my description is not working. How do I fix this?

You must use the entire Web address, including the http:// or https://, in order for a link to work properly.

Can I share documents with other members of my group?

The Primary Contact or an organization officer with full access to Documents can upload files to your group. They can share these files publicly or only with certain members or position holders within your organization.

How will I know if someone adds my group as a co-host to an event?

The group added as a co-host will receive an email notification.

What happens when I cancel an event?

If you no longer plan to host an event, Cancel Event allows you to send a message to all users who are involved in the event, including invitees. The event will remain on your page listed as a canceled event. There is not a way to remove the canceled event from Campus Labs Engage; however, changing the event to a date in the past will keep it from displaying in your current event list.

When will I see my event on the home page?

The home page displays events in date order starting with the current date. If you click the View all events button in the Event section of the home page, an additional 15 events will display.

Can I submit multiple times/locations for my event?

Is GeoTagging an available feature in Gold Connect Engage?

Engage currently does not support GeoTagging.

Do you have any pointers for taking attendance at outdoor events?

If you have issues scanning QR Codes when taking attendance outdoors, increase the brightness of your device.

Will I receive an email notification when my event has been approved?

No, you will need to log in at goldconnect.depauw.edu to see the status of your event submission.

What happens to my account when I graduate?

Your IT accounts, including Campus Labs, are retired on December 31st of your graduation year. Additional information is available at Graduating Senior Account Retirement.
