Windows: Finding your operating system version

When reporting an issue or request to the HelpDesk, it is helpful for you to provide us with the version of your operating system.

  1. Click the Start icon on the lower left of your screen

  2. Right-click on My Computer (or Computer) → Properties
  3. The edition (version) of your computer is displayed at the top of the System window
