Google Apps: 2-Step Verification on your mobile device(s)

When using 2-Step Verification, you will also need to set up this additional security measure on your mobile device(s); otherwise, you may receive a “password incorrect” error message when trying to access your Google Apps account on your mobile device.

Google provides information and instructions on Apps Password in the How to generate an App password section of their Sign in using App Passwords Web page.

If you continue to have issues after trying to set up your mobile device:

  • Go to Google’s Problems signing in with 2-Step Verification? Web page to troubleshoot your issue.
  • Visit the HelpDesk office to consult with an information specialist during our regular office hours of Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are located on the lower level of the Student Union Building.
