Make your Google Apps account more secure

Set a secure password

Go to the Password Requirements section of the IT KnowledgeBase Passwords article to learn about DePauw’s password requirements and how you can create secure passwords.

Review your connected apps

Go to Google Account settings to see what apps or websites you have allowed to access your Google Apps account and disable any that you are unfamiliar with or no longer need.

Check your account activity dashboard

Go to your Google Dashboard to check for suspicious behavior and to set up monthly reminders to check your account activity.

Sign up for security checkup notifications

Go to Google’s Security checkup to add your recovery information so you will receive notifications when Google suspects unusual activity in your account.
