DePauw’s POP Settings

These step-by-step instructions will assist you with the settings necessary for migrating your DePauw email into a personal email account. (Note: It may take up to 48 hours before all your email shows up in your personal email account.)

  1. Settings icon in the upper-right of your screen and click Settings.
  2. Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  3. In the POP Download section, select Enable POP for all mail.

  4. Scroll down and click Save Changes.
  5. In your personal mail account, click the Settings icon and click Settings.
  6. Select the Accounts tab.
  7. In the Check mail from other accounts (using POP3):  section, click Add a POP3 mail account you own.

  8. Enter your DePauw email address, including @depauw.edu, and then select Next Step.

  9. In the Add a mail account you own window
    1. Ensure your Username includes @depauw.edu.
    2. Enter your Password.
    3. For POP Server, enter “pop.gmail.com” (without the quotes).
    4. For Port, select 995.
    5. Select Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
    6. Click Add Account.
