Moodle 1.9

Moodle is DePauw’s learning management system. Developed from a learning-centric perspective rather than a technical administrative perspective, Moodle enables faculty members to enhance their face-to-face teaching and their students’ learning by providing an online environment to distribute materials and encourage collaboration and interaction both within and outside the classroom.

A Moodle course is automatically created for every class offered through the Registrar’s Office. Furthermore, every faculty member, staff member and student is automatically setup with a Moodle user account.

DePauw policies for using Moodle

DePauw University Codes of Conduct that guides student, faculty and staff behavior is applicable to all Moodle courses/sites.

Getting started with Moodle

Moodle works best with the Mozilla Firefox Web browser for both the Macintosh and Windows environments. A free download of Firefox is available by browsing to http://www.getfirefox.com.
