Downloading the VPN client: Windows

Remove all previous VPNs

This section is for faculty, staff or students who have the Juniper VPN installed on their computer.

  1. Click StartControl Panel.
  2. In the Programs section, click Uninstall a program.
  3. Select Dell SonicWALL NetExtender → Uninstall/Change.

Download the VPN client

  1. Open a browser.
  2. Browse to https://remote.depauw.edu.
  3. At the Authentication Required window
    1. Enter your DePauw account username for Name.
    2. Enter your DePauw account password for Password.
    3. Click Login.

  4. At the SSL VPN Portal window, click Download FortiClient → Windows.

  5. Go to where your downloads are saved, and then double-click FortiClient.
    1. If prompted by a security warning, click Run.
  6. At the Welcome to the FortiClient Setup Wizard window, check the “Yes, I have read and accept the License Agreement” box, and click Next.

  7. At the Choose Setup Type window, verify that  Secure Remote Access is checked and click Next.

  8. At the Destination Folder window, click Next.

  9. At the Ready to Install FortiClient window, click Install.

  10. At the Completed the FortiClient Setup Wizard window, click Finish.

  11. You have installed the VPN.
