Setting image quality: iPhoto

1. Open iPhoto from the Applications folder
2. Click the File Menu, and then select Import to Library…
   
3. In the Import Photos window, select the image and then click Import
4. In the File menu click Export…
   
5. In the Export window
   1. For JPEG Quality, click either Low or Medium → Export
6. In the Save As: window, enter a name and destination and then click OK
