Accounts

Learn about your different IT accounts

There are two (2) separate IT accounts that you need to maintain – 1. DePauw Google Account, and 2. DePauw Account. When you change your password for one account, it will not automatically change your password for the other account.

1. DePauw Google Account

Google Workspace is a suite of hosted communication and collaboration applications designed for colleges and universities that includes email, calendaring, and several integrated collaboration tools (e.g. Google Drive, Google Team Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Sites, and video chat).

A DePauw Google Account is different from a personal Gmail email address. Your DePauw Google Account email address will have the format of username_20XX@depauw.edu for students and username@depauw.edu for staff and faculty members. This account is managed by DePauw’s Information Services staff.

Browse to http://mail.depauw.edu to log in to your DePauw Google Account. If it is your first time to log in, use the username and password we provided to you. After you are logged in for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password.

2. DePauw Account

Your DePauw Account login enables you to access not only e-Services, but also various Active Directory (AD) driven accounts, such as network drives (e.g. Instructional or I: drive), Box, Canon MFDs (printer/copiers/scanners) that are found in various locations around campus, Moodle, and more.

You must use the username issued to you by DePauw (e.g. username_20xx for students and username for staff and faculty members) and your password to log in. After you log in for the first time, you will be asked to change your password. To ensure the security of your DePauw Account, you will be required to update your password every 365 days.

The following table explains the different programs that use your DePauw Account login:
